Indian Link Radio

Indian Link Radio is a 24-7 Hindi radio service broadcast out of Sydney, Australia.

The nation’s first platform of its kind, Indian Link Radio was first launched in 2002. Today, we are your little connection with India while living in whatever part of the globe.

On any given day, the choice of music ranges from Bollywood and pop to ghazals and devotional. We’re on 24/7 and it’s all captured in our station tagline: Ruk kyun gaye? (Why stop?)

We’ve hosted Prime Ministers, Ministers, Members of Parliament, High Commissioners and a long list of celebrities from India’s entertainment industry on Indian Link Radio, alongside our fabulous local community here in Australia.

Thanks to our free app, we have listeners from Los Angeles, London, and Ludhiana calling in, taking part in our regular competitions, quiz shows, talent quests, and so much more.

Indian Link Radio just doesn’t stop – how can we, when there’s so much to talk about? Bollywood reviews to share, cricket discussions to be had, local and global news to be discussed, and of course, nostalgic memories of India to indulge.

Originally a subscription-based service only for listeners in Sydney and Melbourne in the early 2000s, we’ve certainly come a long way. Our app has been downloaded 50,000 times, besides the live listens on our website.

Over the years, we’ve saved marriages (listeners have told us they reconnected with their partners over songs!) and been a companion for parents visiting adult their children in Australia. We’ve been a little source of comfort for those who move to nursing homes and take our app with them. Heck, we’ve even celebrated a marriage – as a listener and a presenter connected through their mutual love for similar songs.

At Indian Link Radio, we stay rooted with the community through Hindi melodies from home while focusing on events and issues specific to Indians in Australia.

So, whether it’s listening to the latest Bollywood hits, getting your monthly tarot reading, or just a quick news update – there’s something in here for everyone.
